Welcome to DFW.com

Welcome to DFW.com, where "entertainment is just one search away ..."

... and slogans are a way of life!

You've got pressing decisions to make, right?

-- Where should I have lunch?

-- What local band's tunes should I listen to in order to tune out my boss?

-- Where can I find the best-looking waiters and waitresses in the Metroplex?

Well, DFW.com has all those answers, and much more. (Sorry, more slogan-speak.)

Our turbo-charged search engine is ready to help you find restaurants, concerts, events and clubs all over Dallas-Fort Worth. And our staff isn't shy about sharing their picks, either.

Our minister of cultcha, Christopher Kelly, will be your guide on The Big Blog, where he'll dispense his wisdom on everything from movies to music to the wonders of Project Runway, to the genius that is Fuzzy's garlic shredded beef taco.

Preston Jones, our music man, will keep you plugged into the concert scene, complete with a weekly podcast, CD reviews and audio clips from local bands.

If you're a creature of the night, you'll want to bookmark the Party Blog, where Sonya Cisneros will lead you behind the velvet ropes of DFW's hottest clubs. (Just promise not to get into any bar fights! We can't afford to bail you out of jail.)

And our crack team of food bloggers are ready, with forks poised, to dig into the local dining scene. (And we're always hungry ... so we want to hear about your favorite places, too.)

Right now, we're in Beta mode, which means we know guests are coming, but we haven't quite got the place all tidied up yet. So if something doesn't work, or you have suggestions, or you see a stray pair of underwear peeking out from under on the sofa (Chris!!), we're all ears. Shoot us an e-mail.

Entertainment is a way of life, and we hope DFW.com will be for you, too. (Last slogan, we promise.)

If you're coming from www.star-telegram.com, here are a few things you might want to know:

-- You'll find the top headlines that you're used to seeing in our dfw.com tabs on each section front. Just scroll down to the tabs in the middle of the page or scroll all the way down to the bottom to find top headlines for various other sections.

-- Columnists such as Robert Philpot no longer have their own pages. You will find their columns under the appropriate topic. Philpot's Channel Surfing, for example, can be found under top stories on the "Movies & TV section."
