KTVT/Channel 11 has named a new traffic reporter who should be sensitive to your I-35W misadventures: She was born and raised in Fort Worth.
Madison Adams, who replaces the departed Chelsey Davis, will begin her gig with the Dec. 27 edition of CBS 11 This Morning, which airs from 4:30 to 7 a.m. on KTVT. Davis left the station in November to return to Phoenix,
Adams most recently was an anchor-reporter at KWTX in Waco. She was also the lead reporter for the Emmy Award-winning KWTX Baylor Gameday show that airs before each Baylor home football game.
It will probably not surprise you to learn, then, that she is a graduate of Baylor, where she double-majored in entrepreneurship and journalism. She was also a sports reporter and anchor for Baylor Athletics, where Athletics, she co-anchored regional broadcasts for events such as the Cotton Bowl and National Signing Day.
Adams’ KWTX bio is still online at this writing, and it notes that Adams competed twice for Miss Texas, where she was first runner-up in 2015 as Miss Park Cities and second runner-up in 2014 as Miss Waco. She also has a talent for health and fitness, and one of her talents is yodeling, which could make for some interesting traffic reports should she decide to use that talent.
She also, according to her KWTX bio, spent years barrel racing in rodeos across the south on her horse, Barbie.
And, if you do a little YouTube searching, you’ll find that she has other talents as well.
