Clint Black, Jane Seymour to appear at Lone Star Film Festival

Posted 5:25pm on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016

Country-music performer Clint Black, Golden Globe winner Jane Seymour and Pete’s Dragon director David Lowery have been announced as special guests at this year’s Lone Star Film Festival, running Nov. 10-13 in Fort Worth.

Seymour will be receiving the Achievement in Acting Award, while Black, originally from Katy, will be given the Stephen Bruton Award for excellence in music. Lowery, from Dallas, is part of the speakers’ lineup that also includes Lowery’s collaborator/producer/actor Toby Halbrooks, director/actress Joanna Kerns and Texas Film Commission Director Heather Page.

There were also some additions made to the film schedule. Titletown, TX, the Star-Telegram’s weekly video documentary from video journalists Jared Christopher and Jessica Koscielniak about the 2016 football season of the Aledo High School Bearcats, is being condensed and presented in a 90-minute version. There will be a Q&A with filmmakers, coaches and student-athletes.

The 25th anniversary of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is being celebrated with a screening and an appearance from executive producer Don Hahn.

The Lone Star Film Festival takes place at venues in Sundance Square including AMC Palace and Four Day Weekend Theater. For a schedule and more information on the festival, go to lonestarfilmfestival.com.
