Jumpin’ for joy

The Arlington Early Childhood PTA invites moms with kids age 5 and younger to attend its Jump Into the New Year event Thursday. Held at Pump It Up in Arlington, the event gives non-members a chance to learn more about the group while enjoying refreshments and jumping time. Going once, going twice

The Fort Worth Community Arts Center hosts a two-day sale of early Texas art Friday and Saturday. Sponsored by Heritage Auctions, it features a preview reception 5-8 p.m. Friday and a panel discussion on “Early Texas Art in a National Context,” facilitated by the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Sale hours are 5-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Although the discussion is free, reservations must be made by calling 214-329-9818 or visiting www.texasartcollector.com.
