Adopt me! Meet Rudy

Posted 10:19am on Thursday, Jul. 17, 2014

ID No. 22777579

Male, feline, domestic shorthair, 1 year old, 10 pounds

Rudy is a an outgoing, affectionate 1-year-old domestic shorthair. Rudy is a staff favorite at the Humane Society of North Texas, and everyone is puzzled as to why he hasn’t been adopted yet. This sweet cat loves to lounge around on cozy things and be scratched behind the ears. Rudy came to HSNT from less-than-ideal circumstances: He was seized from a cruelty situation. But it hasn’t stopped him from being a happy, lovable cat. Rudy is commonly referred to around the shelter as a champion “biscuit maker” (for the uninitiated, that means that he is awfully fond of kneading his blankies). He is also a world-class cuddlebug and is known for planting himself in staffers’ laps, looking for love. Although most of the time he’d rather be curled up next to you than batting at his toys, his favorite playtime objects are anything with bells in them. Rudy is neutered, current on vaccinations, and will be microchipped when adopted. Please come give this sweet boy a second chance at a wonderful life and visit him at the HSNT’s Benbrook Adoption Center.

The Humane Society of North Texas is at 1840 E. Lancaster Ave. and 6708 S. Hulen St., Fort Worth; 363 Keller Parkway, Keller; and 9009 Benbrook Blvd./U.S. 377 S, Benbrook. It is open for adoptions seven days a week. For hours and adoption information, call 817-332-4768 or visit www.hsnt.org, where you can also view adoptable animals.
