Adopt me! Meet Aurora the Alaskan husky mix

Posted 3:11pm on Wednesday, Jul. 09, 2014

ID No. A19397244

Female, Alaskan husky mix, 1 year old, about 35 pounds

Aurora is a stunning Alaskan husky mix. Staffers at the Humane Society of North Texas believe she may be part American Cattle Dog. Due to her medium size, she almost looks like a miniature husky! Whatever her breed, Aurora is a gorgeous girl. She has one dark brown eye and one crystal blue eye — a characteristic known as heterochromia. Aurora was originally adopted out of the HSNT as a puppy and then returned when her owners could no longer afford to keep her. She is very intelligent and knows many commands, including “sit,” “down,” and “shake.” Aurora’s previous owners did not house-train her, but she is crate-trained, and staffers believe that with a little training and patience she could easily learn to go outside. Aurora got along well with the dog and cat in her previous home and loves kids of all ages. She is a very active little lady and would do best in a family that can give her daily mental and physical exercise. She loves a lot of playtime! Aurora is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm-negative, microchipped, and ready to go home today! Can you open your heart to this playful girl and give her the forever home she deserves? Visit her at the HSNT’s Benbrook adoption center.

The Humane Society of North Texas is at 1840 E. Lancaster Ave. and 6708 S. Hulen St., Fort Worth; 363 Keller Parkway, Keller; and 9009 Benbrook Blvd./U.S. 377 S, Benbrook. It is open for adoptions seven days a week. For hours and adoption information, call 817-332-4768 or visit www.hsnt.org, where you can also view adoptable animals.
