Paul McCartney cut short the Japanese/South Korea portion of his ongoing “Out There” tour last month, having come down with a virus.
A new U.S. leg of the tour was supposed to kick off in Lubbock next week, before making its way to Dallas, for McCartney’s first show in the area since playing then-Cowboys Stadium five years ago, but the former Beatle isn’t quite feeling all better just yet.
Earlier today, McCartney’s publicist announced the postponement of all June dates until October, including the June 16 stop at American Airlines Center. That show will now happen on Oct. 13, at the same venue, and all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.
“I’m sorry but it’s going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again,” McCartney said in a statement. “I’m feeling great but taking my docs’ advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon.”
The “Out There” tour resumes July 5 in Albany, New York.
