Adopt me! Meet Chop

Posted 10:51am on Monday, May. 26, 2014

ID No. 22419096

Male, boxer-Samoyed-dachshund mixed breed, 6 months old, 30 pounds

Chop is a spirited 6-month-old puppy with zest for life! Chop was surrendered when his owner discovered that he was allergic to dogs. Staffers at the Humane Society of North Texas were unsure of Chop’s breed, so when the opportunity arose to have him DNA-tested, it was met with excitement. As it turns out, he’s a very interesting mix: Chop is part boxer and part Samoyed, with a few other breeds thrown in. He’s even part long-haired dachshund!

Breeds aside, Chop would make a fun companion for an active family. He is a silly bundle of energy who will play with just about anything. His amusing behavior makes staffers laugh out loud. Being a puppy, Chop needs a family with the patience to train him. He is very energetic and requires a home with people who will not be easily overpowered when he plays. If there are other dogs in the family, staffers recommend bringing your pooch for a meet-and-greet if you are interested in adopting this lively, wonderful boy! Chop is current on vaccinations, heartworm-negative, neutered, and microchipped. Please come visit this friendly fella at HSNT’s East Lancaster location today! .
