Adopt me! Meet Shelly

Posted 1:33pm on Wednesday, May. 14, 2014

ID No. 16528947

Female, border collie mix, 4 years old, 35 pounds

Shelly is an incredibly sweet, loving border collie mix. True to her breed, Shelly has bright, intelligent eyes and would make someone a truly wonderful companion. Staffers at the Humane Society of North Texas say she is content to lay by your side on a beautiful day and just take in the sunshine with you. According to her previous owner, she has some hind-leg injuries that prevent her from walking exceptionally long distances, but don’t let that deter you! Shelly is very playful and is always ready to greet you with a happy tail wag. She gets along well with some dogs but not others, so she would need to have a meet-and-greet with a potential adopter’s dogs before being placed in a new home. Shelly is heartworm-positive, but her treatment is included in her $150 adoption fee. She is already spayed and will be microchipped when adopted by her new family. Please stop by our East Lancaster location and meet this very special girl today.

The Humane Society of North Texas is at 1840 E. Lancaster Ave. and 6708 S. Hulen St., Fort Worth; 363 Keller Parkway, Keller; and 9009 Benbrook Blvd./U.S. 377 S, Benbrook. It is open for adoptions seven days a week. For hours and adoption information, call 817-332-4768 or visit www.hsnt.org, where you can also view adoptable animals.
