Checking out Table and Tavern Las Colinas

Posted 11:38pm on Tuesday, May. 13, 2014

IRVING -- Over the last three years, Sfuzzi Las Colinas has been the hottest spot in the Irving utopia with its patio becoming the quintessential "see and be seen" spot. But coming on the heels of the Uptown location of Sfuzzi closing at the end of last year, and the fact that the sophisticated Las Colinas clientele had simply outgrown the Sfuzzi calling card of "Bar, Pizza and Pasta," the owners have re-branded it as Table and Tavern Las Colinas.

The new concept, casually dubbed "Sformerly Sfuzzi," has the Table element featuring farm-to-table cuisine and the Tavern, with the same upscale yet relaxed environment that has made this spot so popular.

The Table area is more of a formal dining spot with a menu that includes entree salads, fish, steak, flatbreads and classic American sandwiches. The Tavern area features bar food with items ranging from chicken wings and chipotle pork wings to lettuce wraps and ahi tuna tostadas to pair with local Texas beers on draft such as Peticolas Velvet Hammer and locally inspired cocktails. This area also features the outdoor patio seating and is set up for live music.

As one would expect, this will be one of the hottest spots all week for those in Las Colinas for the HP Byron Nelson Championship. This is the site for the Official Byron Nelson Kickoff Party, presented by Ketel One, on Wednesday of Nelson week. The party will feature Ketel One drink specials, $3 domestic bottled beer, half-priced pizzas and live music from Second Hand Smoke. Sunday will kick off with the Byron Brunch, for those who may be heading to the golf tournament a little late after a long Saturday evening.
