The art of literature

Make plans to attend the Kimbell Art Museum’s monthly Pictures & Pages program Tuesday. Designed for preschoolers ages 4-6, the event offers a reading of Nina Laden’s Roberto, the Insect Architect plus art activities inspired by the book. The program, 10:30-11:15 a.m., is free, but space is limited and registration is required. Maximum of two children per adult. Register by phone or by e-mailing edassist@kimbellmuseum.org. 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth, 817-332-8451; www.kimbellart.org.

Make some noise

The Fort Worth Central Library hosts its Shake, Rattle and Read! Story Time on Monday, offering a rare opportunity for children to get loud in the library with an exploration of sounds, movements, stories and rhymes. The program begins at 11 a.m. in the Youth Center and is free. 500 W. Third St., Fort Worth, 817-392-7745; www.wr365.org.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
