An evening in Sicily

In conjunction with its Passaporto Italia festival, the Central Market Cooking School in Southlake offers a class called Sicilian Specialties on Wednesday. A member of the cooking school staff will teach students to make dishes like sfincione and arancini. 6:30-9 p.m. $55 per person. 1425 E. Up close with the animals

Make plans to attend River Legacy Living Science Center’s Animal Exploration program Saturday. One of the center’s naturalists will teach guests about the habits and adaptations of the animals that live at the center. 2 p.m. Free, but space is limited so call for reservations. 703 N.W.
