The popular outdoor concert series, Rockin’ the River, returns to the banks of the Trinity River June 5.

The 10-week event, held at the Panther Island Pavilion (and, full disclosure, is sponsored in part by DFW.com), just outside downtown Fort Worth, will kick off with a performance from the Thieving Birds and Sam Riggs & the Night People.

This year, each concert will end with a fireworks display, and thanks to the new Shack at Panther Island Pavilion, all events will take place, regardless of weather. Gates for each concert open at 4:30 p.m., with music beginning at 6:45 p.m. The full line-up is below.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
