Bar Louie opens in Hurst at Northeast Mall

Posted 10:06am on Thursday, Mar. 20, 2014

Addison-based Bar Louie opened its newest location this week in Hurst in a prime spot outside of the Rave Motion Pictures at Northeast Mall, in what was formerly R.J. Gator’s. The newest Bar Louie joins the West 7th and Arlington Highlands locations to become the company’s third DFW location – a fourth one is scheduled to open this summer at Firewheel Town Center in Garland.

Bar Louie soft-opened its doors Sunday, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day and will celebrate its grand opening with a four day-long party March 20-23. As part of the celebration, every guest will receive their first appetizer or flatbread for free simply for coming in to check out the new place. (That promotion worked wonders at the West 7th location when it opened.) Bar Louie’s signature martinis will also be only $2 and there will be more food and drink specials not related to the grand opening party.

“Go big or go home,” general manager Steve McBride said, in a news release. “We’re excited to offer our guests this amazing offer as part of our opening celebration. They are going to be blown away.”

The mid-cities area is sorely lacking when it comes to a patio scene -- the closest thing is BoomerJack’s Grill & Bar on Hwy 183 in Bedford. So look for the new Bar Louie’s large patio to give that neighborhood a much-needed cool spot to hang out.

Bar Louie will be open daily for lunch and dinner (and will also feature late-night dining) from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. The entire menu will be available until last call.

BAR LOUIE 1101 Melbourne Road, Suite 6600 Hurst. (817) 537-0440
