Conan O’Brien announces guests for his DFW week

Posted 1:06pm on Monday, Mar. 31, 2014

A little over a month ago, Conan O’Brien announced that he will tape his TBS late-night show Conan at Dallas’ Majestic Theater March 31-April 3, during Final Four week. And now we have a guest list.

TBS announced this morning that Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, The Big Bang Theory’s Simon Helberg and Charles Barkley will be among the guests dropping by.

The big local “get”: Denton’s Eli Young Band will appear on the April 2 episode.

Sandler will appear March 31, with comedian Tig Notaro also on the guest lists. Rogen will appear April 1, which will also feature former American Idol champ Phillip Phillips as musical guest (wait ... no Kelly Clarkson? She’s from here!). Helberg and the Eli Young Band will appear April 2. Barkley is the only guest announced so far for April 3.

O’Brien has apparently been doing a little bit of reconnaissance: On March 9, he tweeted a picture of the sign at a Grumps Burgers, and the Dallas Observer reported that he was spotted at a Cleburne Whataburger. A staffer told the Observer that O’Brien told her he was in Cleburne “to shoot a remote piece for his upcoming block of shows in Dallas, something about being a ‘Deputy for a Day in Cleburne.’ ”

Conan airs at 10 p.m. CDT Monday-Thursday on TBS. To request tickets for the Dallas taping, go to http://teamcoco.com/tickets.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
