Sunday night with Oscar

Make plans to attend DFW.com’s sixth annual Oscar-watching party at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth on Sunday. The evening includes a red-carpet photo op, an Oscar-inspired costume contest, prizes and a live screening of the show. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the pre-show, with the awards show airing at 7:30 p.m. in the museum auditorium. Taking wing

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden opens it’s “Butterflies in the Garden” exhibit Saturday. Throughout the five-week exhibit, 12,000 butterflies will be released in the glass conservatory, and at 2 p.m. each day, you can join the effort, paying $10 to release one butterfly and $5 for each additional one.
