In the galleries: Conduit Gallery celebrates the big 3-0

Posted 7:13am on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014

Conduit Gallery is celebrating its 30th year in business, which is quite an accomplishment as the lifespan of a gallery is usually measured in single digits, so cheers for 30 years. Gallery owner Nancy Whitenack opened in Deep Ellum in 1984 and then moved to Main Street in the early ’90s before pioneering the Dallas Design District where many galleries are now at home. Celebratory exhibitions are planned for the duration of the year, first up are Annabel Daou, with “Measure”; Marcelyn McNeil, with “reshuffle;” and Maja Ruznic, in the project room. The exhibitions will run through March 29. A reception for the artists, open to the public, will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is at 1626 Hi Line Drive, Dallas. 214-939-0064; www.conduitgallery.com
