Adopt me! Meet Leonardo

Posted 12:14pm on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014

ID No. A21837606

Male, Chihuahua, 2 years old, 8-10 pounds

Handsome and charming, Leonardo is a little gentleman who has bounced around from shelter to shelter since before Christmas, and is really eager to find that special someone who can take him home forever. This adorable dog was dropped off because his owner could no longer care for him and he was an offspring of their pets. He came to the Humane Society of North Texas because he wasn’t getting much exposure at the shelter where he was originally released. Leonardo is heartworm-negative and current on shots and will be neutered and microchipped once adopted. He just loves attention, walks and snuggles. Leonardo would enjoy nothing more than to be pampered and adored for the rest of his days. Since so much of his past is a mystery, staffers recommend meet-and-greets if you have other pets or small children in the household to be sure everyone plays well together. Please come visit this spunky and silly little dog today at HSNT’s East Lancaster location.

The Humane Society of North Texas (1840 E. Lancaster Ave. and 6708 S. Hulen St., in Fort Worth, and 363 Keller Parkway, Keller) is open for adoptions seven days a week. For hours and adoption information, call 817-332-4768 or visit www.hsnt.org, where you can also view adoptable animals.
