UPDATE: In Hollywood, the show must go on. But in North Texas, when the roads turn icy, the prudent thing to do is stay home. So, were sorry to report that this years DFW.com Oscar Watching Party at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth has been canceled due to severe winter weather conditions. We were looking forward to seeing everyone on the red carpet in their Oscar finest or a creative costume, but after much discussion, organizers for DFW.com and the Modern have decided it is better to be safe, especially because the National Weather Service forecast indicates that temperatures will keep dropping throughout the evening, creating dangerous road conditions later tonight when the party would have ended. Its very disappointing, especially because this will be our first Oscar night in six years not spent celebrating at the Modern with friends and fellow movie lovers. We apologize to everyone who was planning to attend, or who put together a costume for the red carpet.
