In the galleries: ‘The Winter Show’

Posted 12:00am on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014

The Texas Artists Coalition is bringing an infusion of color to the dreary days of mid-winter. “The Winter Show,” on view at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center through Feb. 27, is a group show of TAC artists. The membership program nurtures artists’ career development. It is supported the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, and a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts, and has many self-supporting artists. Check out the high-caliber art and then look into what the TAC offers; the variety of programs are for amateurs and professionals.

1300 Gendy St., Fort Worth. Free. 817-738-1938; www.fwcac.com.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
