Adopt me! Meet Oliver

Posted 12:01pm on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014

ID No. A21489969

Male, Chihuahua mix, 2 years old, 15 pounds

Oliver — also known as “Ollie” — is a sweet dog who was found as a stray and was never reunited with his owner. He has been in and out of foster care. Oliver is great with other dogs, cats and older kids. This handsome gent loves playtime and can almost always be seen with a toy in his mouth or pouncing on one of his bunk-mates. Ollie tends to be the shelter ambassador for new animals who need a reassuring canine friend. He is always the first one to go up and wag his tail or offer to play. Ollie loves relaxing on the sofa or the dog bed, and enjoys going outside for fresh air. He is house-trained and is very treat-motivated, so teaching him new tricks should be fun and easy. He can be shy when he first meets people, but warms up very quickly. He keeps the shelter staff at the Humane Society of North Texas laughing with his goofy personality. Oliver has been with HSNT for a long time, and while he is comfortable and safe, all the staffers want him to have a fur-ever home of his own. You can visit him at the HSNT’s Benbrook satellite location. Find out more by calling 817-249-3647.

The Humane Society of North Texas (1840 E. Lancaster Ave. and 6708 S. Hulen St., Fort Worth, and 363 Keller Parkway, Keller) is open for adoptions seven days a week. For hours and adoption information, call 817-332-4768 or visit www.hsnt.org, where you can also view adoptable animals.
