In the galleries: Rima Canaan Lee’s photographs at Talley Dunn Gallery

Posted 12:00am on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014

“Patterned,” an exhibit by Fort Worth-based photographer Rima Canaan Lee, opens this week at Talley Dunn Gallery. The mosaic surfaces of Spain’s most multicultural buildings — the Alhambra in Granada, the Alcázar in Seville and the Mosque-Cathedral in Cordoba — are recorded by Lee with the scrim of time, the use and abuse of millennia, marring their once-perfectly patterned surfaces. A reception for the artist will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Talley Dunn Gallery, 5020 Tracy St., Dallas. 214-521-9898; www.talleydunn.com .

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
