Cheers to a healthy new you

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History continues its PUBlic Knowledge lecture series this Tuesday, Jan. 7. Taking place at the Magnolia Motor Lounge, this month’s lecture is called Resolutions 101: Goal Setting for a Healthy New Year and will feature Stacy and Lance Buky of Camp Gladiator. The event takes place at 7 p.m. and is free. No reservations are required. You must be 21 and older to attend. It’s at 3005 Morton St., Fort Worth. 817-255-9300; www.fwmuseum.org.

The early bird gets the worm

Check out the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge’s Early Birds program Friday, Jan. 10. Led by one of the center’s naturalists, visitors will go on a hike in search of birds and their habitats. The program is 8:30-10:30 a.m. and is free with paid admission ($2-$5). You are encouraged to bring along binoculars and a camera. Preregistration is required.
