Sunday cinema at the library

The Fort Worth Central Library invites you to attend its monthly First Sunday Film Club on Sunday, Jan. 5. This month’s feature is the 1986 film On Valentine’s Day. Showtime is 2 p.m. inside the David L. Tandy Lecture Hall. Free. 500 W. Third St., Fort Worth, 817-392-7701; www.wr365.org.

Art time at the Modern

Bring your kids to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s Drawing from the Collection for Children program this Sunday, Jan. 5. Led by artists MaryEllen Lacy and Devon Nowlin, the program will take attendees through informal drawing exercises that relate to works in the museum’s galleries. The program takes place at 2 p.m. and is free. Space is limited, so arrive early and sign-up at the museum’s information desk.
