In the Galleries, Julie Lazarus at William Campbell Contemporary Art

Posted 12:00am on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013

Noted Fort Worth artist Julie Lazarus is presenting her recent paintings and glass sculptures at William Campbell Contemporary Art. Her exhibition, “Aquavenezia,” is inspired by the architecture and reflective waterscapes of Venice. “In Venice, I observe the seeming surplus of water, filtering the colors, light and architectural detail into my own artistic vision,” she writes. Her choice of vertical canvases is prompted by the upward thrust of tall buildings and the human stance to establish a familiar synergy between viewer and art.

Through Dec. 28. William Campbell Contemporary Art, 4935 Byers Ave. Fort Worth, 817-737-9566; www.williamcampbellcontemporaryart.com.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
