Troy Aikman, Tony Romo among those at TopGolf grand opening in The Colony

Posted 9:27am on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013

Dallas-based TopGolf hosted a grand opening event for its newest location in The Colony on Monday evening from 7-10 p.m. The invitation-only party was complete with a red carpet entry and big name local celebrities.

Familiar faces spotted at the new TopGolf included Dallas Cowboys legendary Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman, current Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer Charlotte Jones Anderson, former Cowboys linebacker Bradie James, Dallas Stars players Brenden Dillon, Cody Eakin, Jordie Benn and Tyler Seguin, PGA TOUR players Hunter Mahan, Colt Knost and Bo Van Pelt and Texas Country singer Pat Green.

"The best part about TopGolf is that golfers of all abilities can have a good time," said Green, who in addition to being a popular Texas Country singer is also a partner in the new Uptown hot spot The Rustic

The 65,000-square-foot location in The Colony had all three levels packed for its grand opening bash, with the celebrities set up in hitting bays on the second level (ground level) and very accessible to those asking for pictures or just wanting to watch them hit a few golf balls. While the new TopGolf has been soft-opened since its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 4, it is officially open as of Nov. 18.
