Sweet treats for the holidays

Author/chef Valerie Gordon comes to the Fort Worth Central Market Cooking School this Tuesday, Nov. 12, for a class called “Edible Holiday Gifts.” Gordon will be sharing some of her favorite edible gifts, including mango jam, salted peanut blondies and muesli. It’s at 6:30-9 p.m. and cost is $70 per person. Cliburn at the Bass

Famed violinist Midori takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Bass Hall as part of the Cliburn at the Bass concert series. Accompanied by pianist Özgür Aydin, she is making her Cliburn at the Bass debut and her first Cliburn Concerts appearance in two decades. Tickets are $20-$90.
