There was a good amount of Halloween bashes this past weekend with the annual event coming on a Thursday this year. If you missed last weekend's fun for whatever reason -- perhaps you were trapped at the TCU-Texas game during a three-hour lightning delay that saw the contest end after midnight -- no need to worry because there are plenty of big events going on in DFW on Halloween night.
Here is a random sampling of some of the Halloween evening parties in DFW:
SISU Uptown is hosting A Rave Called Halloween from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event will feature sets by DJ Wish FM and DJ Little Ricky opening for Jillionaire Major Lazor. Look for a big crowd of Dallas' beautiful people in their costumes at this hot spot.
Vice in Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth is hosting a Six Feet Under Halloween party with prizes including Palm Beach Tan gift certificates, tattoo gift certificates, a one-hour massage, gift cards to Reservoir and bottle service at Bar 9.
The very popular Reservoir Bar, Patio and Kitchen is hosting the Goblin Ball featuring DJ D-Roz.
Halloween at the Stone is a weekend of parties at Brownstone off West 7th. Thursday night is the Haunted House Afterparty featuring a live DJ from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday night will feature a $1000 costume contest.
Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson is hosting the Alaween Halloween Carnival that will include the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine Bounce House, trick or treating in the auditoriums and, of course, a screening of Halloween.
Avenu Lounge in Uptown Dallas is hosting 'Dallas' Biggest Halloween Party' dedicated to a night of chaos and debauchery. The $3000 cash and prize costume contest will bring in a big crowd, so table reservations are strongly recommended.
The Dragonsball Halloween Ball 'Decompression' Party is taking place on Halloween night beginning at 9 at PLUSH in downtown Dallas. PLUSH, the highest ranked of the DFW nightclubs that were honored in fifth annual Nightclub & Bar's Top 100 clubs list, had over 700 people for last year's Halloween party, so expect this to be one of the bigger bashes of the evening. Costumes are optional and bottle service is available by calling (214) 606-1203.
NYLO South Side is hosting the NYLO-ween Bash beginning at 7 p.m. and running all the way to 2 a.m. on what has become one of the most popular rooftop bars in Dallas. There will be a NYLO-ween costume contest for those dressed up for the big night.
Cowboys Red River is hosting the Red River Halloween Party with $1500 in cash and prizes up for grabs. No cover for everyone in costume, $2.50 wells and Coors Lights all night and free valet for all unescorted ladies.
The Deep Ellum Brewing Company is hosting Deepo'ween featuring drink specials, live music by Loyal Sally and a best and worst costume contest.
All Hallow's Eve at the Travis in Dallas is hosted by Jackson. The Travis is the nightclub.lounge just off Knox that was previously Rio Room and Suite. Sounds for the evening are provided by Joe Castillo.
The Glass Cactus on Lake Grapevine is hosting its Halloween Bash with a best costume contest for a chance to win a one-night stay at the Gaylord Texan.
The Texas Theatre is hosting a special screening of the 1959 Vincent Price film The Tingler presented in the original Percepto technology. For tickets, visit here.
