Sera Dining & Wine, which recently opened in the old Sapristi space on Forest Park Boulevard in Fort Worth, will kick of a monthly Sunday Supper series this weekend with a buffet of three different paellas.
The suppers will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. one Sunday a month. Owner John Marsh and chef Brandon Hudson will serve a family-style menu that will vary each month. The Sunday, Oct. 27, paella buffet will feature (vegetarians take note) vegetable paella with smoked mushrooms, cauliflower and snap peas: (vegetarians stop taking note) a traditional paella with rabbit, shrimp and clams; and Hunter's Paella with Texas quail, escargot, Morcilla sausage and roasted carrots from Tassione Farms.
Small plates and desserts will be available a la carte. Reservations are encouraged.
Yes, this is kind of short notice. But the next two Sunday Suppers are scheduled for Nov. 17 and Dec. 8, so you’ve got time to plan for thise. Hudson plans for November's Sunday Supper to be in the style of a traditional Basque Country cider house, incorporating whole fish, ribeyes and more.
