Posted 5:54pm on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013

Mark your calendars: Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici of ABC’s The Bachelor are getting married.

Their wedding ceremony will air live on ABC (WFAA/Channel 8) on Jan. 26. The Bachelor: Sean and Catherine’s Wedding will be hosted by Chris Harrison.

Lowe, an Arlington native, was named the franchise’s 17th bachelor after he was rejected by Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette. Lowe is an Arlington Lamar High School grad, class of 2002, who is the entrepreneurial brains behind The Factory Girl, an upscale custom furniture business in Forney. He has also lived in Irving (he played football at both Lamar and Irving High) and Dallas. Lowe also appeared on Dancing With the Stars/ (For more about Lowe, check out this Q&A that DFW.com contributor David Martindale did with Lowe at the beginning of Lowe’s Bachelor season in January.)

Other couples to marry from The Bachelor or The Bachelorette include Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, and Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum.

“The Bachelor” returns in January with Juan Pablo Galavis looking to find his match from 25 eligible women.

Lowe and Giudici made the announcement Monday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America. Here’s the video. Lots of drama!
