Adopt me! Meet Missy

Posted 7:59am on Thursday, Oct. 03, 2013

ID No. A20636713

Female beagle, 9 years old; around 25 pounds

Missy is a sweet and loving 9-year-old Beagle that came to the Humane Society of North Texas from a cruelty and neglect situation in August. She and more than 240 other animals were living in their own filth and in extreme heat, in conditions best described as deplorable — all under the guise of a supposed “no-kill” rescue. Thankfully, Missy was among the animals that made it out of this brutal life, and now she is patiently awaiting the day she will go home to a family where she is loved and cherished for the rest of her days. She has spent a long, long time waiting for her family and has been through a lot, so she would be forever grateful for the family who will make her a real companion. All the remaining Denton County dogs are available at the HSNT’s three locations; visit their Petfinder site (Google “Petfinder“ and “HSNT”), and look for the Denton County dogs still there. Missy is at the main shelter on East Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth. Please come in and meet this beautiful girl.

The Humane Society of North Texas (1840 E. Lancaster Ave. and 6708 S. Hulen St., Fort Worth, and 363 Keller Parkway, Keller) is open for adoptions seven days a week. For hours and adoption information, call 817-332-4768 or visit www.hsnt.org, where you can also view adoptable animals.
