Back in business

After taking a monthlong hiatus for renovations, the Sid Richardson Museum is open and has a new exhibition, titled “Western Treasures.” The exhibit features a selection of American West paintings by Frederic Remington, Charles M. Russell, and their contemporaries along with six bronze sculptures by Remington and Russell on loan from private collections. The museum is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 21, and admission is free. 309 Main St., Fort Worth, 817-332-6554; www.sidrichardsonmuseum.org.

In her shoes

Reality star Kristin Cavallari (MTV’s Laguna Beach and The Hills) will be doing a meet and greet at the Francesca’s in Southlake Town Square this Saturday, Sept. 21. Cavallari will be on hand promoting her newest endeavor, a shoe collection with Chinese Laundry called Kristin Cavallari by Chinese Laundry. The event takes place 2-3 p.m. and is free. The first 100 guests are guaranteed a meet and greet, so those planning to attend are encouraged to get there early. VIP customers can skip the line by being one of the first 20 customers to purchase from the shoe line. Those purchasing from the line also will receive a free tote while supplies last. 214 State St., Southlake, 817-424-5353; www.francescas.com.
