Preston’s picks: !!! (Chk Chk Chk) at Queen City Music Hall and Clearfork Music Festival

!!! (Chk Chk Chk) at Queen City Music Hall

It has been a rocky few months since Queen City Music Hall opened its doors in downtown Fort Worth, but the venue slowly seems to be finding its footing. After a last-minute Lisa Marie Presley gig last weekend, this weekend finds dance-punk outfit !!! (pronounced Chk Chk Chk) taking the stage. The Sacramento-based sextet released its fifth studio album (and its first in three years), Thr!!!er, back in April, and has been on the road supporting it since. With Ice Eater, Son of Stan and Burning Hotels’ Chance Morgan.

9 p.m. Friday. Queen City Music Hall, Fort Worth. $15.

Clearfork Music Festival at Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork

The latest all-day concert to take root in Cowtown is the Clearfork Music Festival, which heavily favors local acts (the Longshots, Un Chien, Midway, Kevin Aldridge and many more) augmented with a couple out-of-town bands (He’s My Brother She’s My Sister; Leopold and His Fiction). The setting is, at least, an area that doesn’t often see much in the way of music festivals: the Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork, in southwest Fort Worth. That’s along the Trinity between Bryant Irvin and Hulen streets. There will also be children’s events and food trucks at the festival.

2 p.m. Saturday. Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork, Fort Worth. $15-$50.
