Hip-hop ‘heads have a lot to be happy about in December.
Two of the biggest names in that, or any, genre will make an appearance within weeks of each other at the American Airlines Center.
As I noted earlier today on Twitter, on Dec. 6, Kanye West will perform the penultimate show on his tour supporting this year’s stunning Yeezus. He’s bringing along a top-notch opener: Kendrick Lamar. Ticket information has yet to be announced, but we’ll pass that along as we have it.
And as I reported last night on Twitter, Jay-Z is bringing his “Magna Carter” world tour, supporting his ho-hum new LP Magna Carta ... Holy Grail, to the AAC on Dec. 21. No opening act has been announced yet, but tickets for Hova’s show go on sale Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. They’ll set you back anywhere from $32.50-$150.
Merry Christmas, music fans.
