Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes will be hosting Oprah’s Life Class, an in-depth discussion on the importance of family, at American Airlines Center on Thursday, Aug. 29. Part of MegaFest 2013, the two classes will be filmed for the OWN Network. 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. A single-ticket purchase gets you in to both. Age 18 and older. After hours fun

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is hosting REEL Adventures: Night at the Museum on Saturday, Aug. 31. The event, which includes a viewing of Night at the Museum, allows visitors the chance to experience the museum as it comes to life after hours. Participants will enjoy live animal demonstrations, a scavenger hunt, the chance to meet historical characters and fun, science-related activities.
