In the galleries: Fort Worth Community Arts Center

Posted 9:42am on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013

August is a slow month for gallery-goers. Many owners of the well-established galleries feign Frenchness and disappear for the month. The Fort Worth Community Arts Center, though, is always open, 52 weeks a year. This month there is the usual eclectic gathering — an exhibit by Fort Worth school district art instructors, a juried selection of the best of the Texas Artists Coalition members, some independent artists’ work, and the two invitational Focus gallery exhibits, by artists Anastasia Gabriel and Maki Hajikano. 1300 Gendy St., Fort Worth, 817-738-1938; www.fwcac.com.
