Meet the 2013-14 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders party

Posted 10:40pm on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013

GRAPEVINE -- The inaugural 'Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Meet the Team' event was held August 20 at the Glass Cactus Nightclub on Lake Grapevine. It was an invitation-only gathering of friends, family members and team personnel to celebrate the official announcement of the ladies who made the team.

The road to becoming a member of this year's DCC began with 500 hopefuls arriving for auditions at AT&T Stadium, followed by the final auditions where the 32 returning veterans joined the 54 women who advanced past the semis and wrapping up with the summer-long training camp that culminated in 39 women being able to fulfill their dream of joining America's Sweethearts.

Ironically, this event was not scheduled until recently as CMT and the producers of the eighth season of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team -- set to premiere on CMT on Sept. 6 -- needed footage of the 'Show Group' performing before a crowd of at least 50 people. DCC Director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell brainstormed and produced this amazing evening that gave the crowd the first chance to see this team perform as well as each lady taking her turn at the microphone to introduce herself as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders member.

The show included multiple routines, including solos from several of the cheerleaders, and their signature performance to AC/DC's Thunderstruck. Ever the showstoppers, they saved the best for last. The cheerleaders made their way off the stage and down in front of the capacity crowd for the revealing of this year's squad photo. Just as with the revealing of the candidates who are advancing during the first day of auditions at AT&T Stadium, the legendary Phil Whitfield did the honors and presented the largest squad photo in the history of the DCC.

"I have a very large family and they have always been so supportive of me," said Jordan Elizabeth, second-year DCC veteran. "This event was really great in that it gives our family members the chance to see us perform up close rather than far away at the stadium. I'd say this is the perfect way to open up our season and I hope it continues in the future."

The 39 ladies who make up the 2013-14 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are Sydney Durso, Jackie Bob, Mia Greenhouse, Nicole Bulcher, Lauren Williams, Amelia Bren, Angela Rena, Brittney Schram, Emma Mary, Holly Arielle, Katy Marie, Mackenzie Lee, Veronica Ann, Alex Hermes, Ashley Marie, Carisa Rose, Danielle Marie, Jacie Veronica, Jasmine Raphaella, Jenna Lene, Jennifer Alexis, Jessica Marie, Jordan Elizabeth, Kelsey Lauren, Kim Nicole, Kinzie Ryanne, Olivia Rene, Abby Camille, Ashley Nicole, Courtni Shea, Hannah Alexandra, Jennifer Kathryne, Jessica Allison, Jinelle Esther, Kaitlyn LaRue, Morgan Whitney, Paige Elaine, Rachel Le Ann and Samantha Melissa.
