A hunting we will go

Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall, the event will feature vendors, exhibits and celebrity appearances. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; admission is $10 adults and $5 ages 13-17. Back to nature

The Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge invites you on a hike to learn more about the animals — such as snakes and turtles — that you will find while out on the refuge’s trails. The naturalist will even introduce visitors to some of the center’s animal ambassadors. The event takes place at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, and is free with paid admission ($2-$5). The refuge is at 9601 Fossil Ridge Road, Fort Worth. 817-392-7410; www.fwnaturecenter.org.
