Party in the park

The city of Keller closes out its free Concerts in the Park series 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, with the help of the Josh Weathers Band. Bring blankets or chairs and a picnic. Food trucks will also be on hand. This month’s concert will also double as the city’s Dog Days of Summer event, so leashed dogs are welcome, too, and there will be vendors and activities for your four-legged friends. Bear Creek Park, 400 Bear Creek Parkway, Keller. 817-743-4050; www.kellerparksandrec.com.

One night with Elvis

The Grapevine Opry brings “The Music of Elvis” to the Palace Theatre stage Saturday, Aug. 17. Featuring the vocals of Grapevine Opry Hall of Fame members Casey Rivers and Nathan Belt, the show will include a variety of Elvis’ greatest hits. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. $25. 300 S. Main St., Grapevine. 817-481-8733; www.gvopry.com.
