Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar coming to Uptown

Posted 11:22pm on Tuesday, Jul. 30, 2013

Dee Lincoln, co-founder of Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, has announced that Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar will open in September in Uptown. Her new partnership with Dallas-based businessman Michel Moreno will be located adjacent to the Quadrangle at 2626 Howell Street in the spot that previously housed Bella Restaurant and the short-lived JoJo Eating House & Bar.

Lincoln opened Dee Lincoln's Tasting Room & Bubble Bar in 2009 with the opening of of the $1.2 billion Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. After resigning from Del Frisco's in 2010, Lincoln opened a second location of the popular wine bar in Rosewood Court in the heart of Uptown.

Expect Lincoln's newest endeavor to be a hot spot with a relaxed setting as it will offer 100 wines under $100, local beer and a craft cocktail program showcasing Texas spirits. The 'approachable' food menu will offer 'core starters, three cuts of steaks, 8-10 unique burgers, daily blackboard features of a butcher's cut and fresh catch of the day.' The butcher's cuts will be provided from Beeman Family Ranch and Windy Bar Ranch.

"I'm known for steak and most everyone loves a good burger," Lincoln said. "I feel my loyal clientele will come for a steak, but it's important we understand the need to also be approachable and offer a menu for the younger Uptown Dallas diner to enjoy as well."

Dee Lincoln's Steak & Burger Bar's Executive Chef will be Juliard Ishizuka. His resume includes stops at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Abacus, Fuse and Cast Iron and Whiskey & Rye at the Omni Hotel in downtown Fort Worth. The general manager of Lincoln's new spot will be Anthony Porcaro, known to many in Dallas from his nine years at Nick & Sam's Steakhouse as well as being the creator/owner of Bella Restaurant.
