Turnpike Troubadours at Billy Bob’s Texas

Rising stars in the Red Dirt country scene, Oklahoma’s Turnpike Troubadours are veterans of Texas stages. The tireless quintet is a frequent sight around these parts, touring in support of last year’s breakout LP Goodbye Normal Street. Led by sharp-eyed singer-songwriter Evan Felker, the Troubadours dance across the boundary between country and rock, bringing a gritty sensibility and facility with melody to rough-and-tumble tales of love and life. Pay attention to this band. It’s going places — fast.

10:30 p.m. Saturday. Billy Bob’s Texas, Fort Worth. $12-$18.

Under the Influence of Music Tour at Gexa Energy Pavilion

As hip-hop package tours go, this one has a little something for everyone. Whether it’s the stoned-out rhymes of co-headliner (and newly married!) Wiz Khalifa or the more hipster-friendly flow of A$AP Rocky (touring behind his debut, Long.Live.A$AP, released this year), rap fans of all stripes should leave Gexa Energy Pavilion high on … music. (Right. Music.) Other performers include the mainstream-friendly B.o.B (of the inescapable single Airplanes a few years back), Trinidad James, Joey Bada-- and Pro Era, Berner, Chevy Woods, and Smoke DZA. Get lifted, y’all.

6 p.m. Sunday. Gexa Energy Pavilion, Dallas. $25-$69.50.
