Reports: Univision cancels ‘Piolin’ morning show

Posted 5:32pm on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016

Not a lot of details on this, but AllAccess (citing HispanicAd.com) and RadioInsight are both reporting that Univision has canceled the popular Piolin por la Mañana morning show, effective immediately. Univision gave no explanation for the cancellation to any of the sites.

The show, hosted by Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo, has been scrubbed from station websites, both radio sites report. In DFW, Piolin aired on KLNO/94.1 FM “La Que Buena.” The Los Angeles-based show will be replaced by music, RadioInsight reports.

Sotelo has been named Spanish Format Personality of the Year several times at the National Association of Broadcasters' Marconi Radio Awards.
