Watch this: Todrick Hall w/Pentatonix, ‘Wizard of Ahhhs’

Posted 3:48pm on Wednesday, Jul. 17, 2013

We’ve posted pretty frequently about former Arlington resident Todrick Hall, the one-time American Idol contestant turned YouTube star who’s known for such fractured fairy tales as Beauty and the Beat , his “ghetto” parody of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

We’ve also posted pretty frequently about Pentatonix, the Arlington-rooted a cappella group that won NBC’s The Sing-Off and has since sold out shows nationwide and does inventive videos like the Evolution of Music.

Hall and Pentatonix have just released The Wizard of Ahhhs, a six-minute-plus tribute to The Wizard of Oz in the form of a song medley featuring nods to Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, 1950s vocal group The Chordettes and even Motley Crue. And many more. Here it is: See how many references you can spot.
