Celebrate in Fort Worth

The Cowtown Fourth of July party, Fort Worth’s Fourth, is Thursday on the banks of the Trinity, and has food trucks, tubing, music and more. Panther Island Pavilion, 395 Purcey St. Gates open at 2 p.m., personal watercraft shows begin at 4 p.m., music at 6 and fireworks at night. Free. www.pantherislandpavilion.com

...And Arlington and Northeast

Arlington’s Fourth of July Parade gets going at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 4, in the downtown/University of Texas at Arlington area, with an after-picnic in Heritage Park. Free. 817-330-9USA; www.arlington4th.org. For those in Northeast Tarrant, there’s 4thFest in Bedford, kicking off at 4 p.m. July 4 with live music, kids’ activities, and fireworks. Free, though there’s limited on-site parking for $20. Parking/shuttle from Pennington Field, 1501 Central Drive, is $5 and admission to the Splash Aquatics Center is $6.50 (adults) and $5.50 (kids under 18).
