Fox-4’s Fiona Gorostiza, Steve Noviello to dance for charity Saturday

Posted 2:13pm on Friday, Jun. 28, 2013

A couple of years ago, when we did our The secret lives of anchors story, KDFW/Channel 4 do-anything features reporter Fiona Gorostiza told us she fell for ballroom dancing when she did it for a charity event, and she’s continued to do it as a hobby.

On Saturday, Gorostiza and her colleague, consumer reporter Steve Noviello, will do the dancing thing again -- albeit not with each other -- during another charity event: Dancing for the Cure, presented by Angels of Dance to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Gorostiza and Noviello, the only two local celebs participating, have each had 30 hours of training with a professional dance partner. Eleven dance groups from throught DFW are involved in the Dancing With the Stars-style event, which will feature a variety of dance styles.

The performance will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson. Tickets are $30, available here or at http://angelsofdance.net/ or by calling 972-744-4650.
