Freedom day

There are several events planned this week in Fort Worth to commemorate Juneteenth.

At 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, there’s a Juneteenth 5K/1M Emancipation Walk and Parade in Cobb Park on the east side. Also that day, there’s a Juneteenth Pageant at 7 p.m. at the Grand Theater, 1110 Fabons St., Fort Worth; $8. For more on the week’s events, visit www.juneteenthfw.com.
