Best Little Brewfest at Texas Motor Speedway

Posted 9:22am on Tuesday, Jun. 04, 2013

The Best Little Brewfest in Texas is set for Saturday June 22 at 2 p.m. in the Garage Area of the massive Texas Motor Speedway in North Fort Worth.

There will be over 50 craft brewers and over 100 beers, many of which will be “one off’s” and new releases. Brewers from all over Texas including the greater Houston and Austin areas will be on hand and many of them have never had their beers in the DFW area. There will also be a "Draft Wall of Courage" with nearly 20 craft brews that will challenge beer fans taste buds and knowledge of brewing chemistry.

In addition to the many choices of beer, there will be live music featuring four local bands outside and seven acoustic musicians inside the garage and an assortment of food trucks for those who develop an appetite while sampling the beverages.

Event organizers are planning on 4,000 tasters including 500 VIP attendees. General admission tickets are $30 ($35 at the gate) and includes 12 two-ounce Craft Brew tastings -- extra tasting cards are $5.  VIP tickets are $75 and include access to the VIP lounge with covered and outdoor seating, snacks and early admission (1 p.m.).

The proceeds from this event will be benefiting Cloud 9 Charities which is splitting the money received amongst the Alzheimer's Association and a charity for the Prevention of Teen Suicide. Cloud 9 Charities, a 501(c)(3), has given over $600,000 to local charities in the last 10 years.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
