Twin Peaks Ice House opens in North Irving

Posted 10:16pm on Thursday, May. 30, 2013

IRVING -- The brand new Twin Peaks in North Irving is the first prototype of an 'Ice House' showing off the bar's 32 kegs in what is the largest of the seven DFW locations of the Dallas-based mountain-lodge themed sports bar/restaurant. The 'Ice House' located to the left of the front entry is home to the wide variety of the 29-degree draft beers on tap.

This new-look Twin Peaks is more wide open than the other locales and features a 360-degree circular bar, a 360-degree fireplace, multiple video games and 38 high-definition televisions that have been strategically placed to where every seat in the house can see sports. While I was watching Game 7 of the Blackhawks-Red Wings Stanley Cup playoff game on one of the 80-inch HD screens around the outer edge of the bar, our party enjoyed items from the 'comfort food menu' ranging from a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich to Trophy Trout and the Shrimp & Chicken Basket.

"The new Twin Peaks 'ice house' is a really great addition to our signature look," said Randy DeWitt, CEO of Twin Peaks. "It's something we've been thinking about for a while and this was the right time and place to try it out. It definitely enhances the lodge atmosphere and guests are really going to enjoy it."

Twin Peaks North Irving is home to over 100 Twin Peaks girls, raising the number of ladies to close to 700 combined at the DFW-area restaurants. I would highly recommend asking for Jenn or Abby at this locale -- while we had a table in the back, they are both usually behind the bar.

The latest edition certainly lives up to the 'Ultimate Man Cave' that its loyal customers have come to know and love since Twin Peaks began in 2005 with the opening of the Lewisville location. Personally, I was already a big Twin Peaks fan -- from my time as a 'celebrity judge' in the inaugural All-Star Bikini Contest in Addison to my front row seat at last summer's contest in Dallas and my behind the scenes view of the 2013 calendar shoot -- and still left pleasantly surprised with the new-look location with plans to return soon.

TWIN PEAKS NORTH IRVING (1500 Marketplace Blvd.) is open Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m. to midnight and Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
