A Better benefit

Dallas urban activist Jason Roberts has made a national reputation for himself with his Better Block vision for bringing new life to inner cities. Now, his friends are turning the tables with Build a Better Jason, a benefit concert to help with expenses stemming from his cancer treatment. The concert, with Ghost Shivers, John Singer Sergeant, and Bobby Patterson, takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Kessler Theater, 1230 W. Davis, Dallas. $25-$500. thekessler.org
