This past weekend, close to 500 ladies from all over the world arrived at Cowboys Stadium with visions of becoming a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. After two full days of preliminary and semi final auditions, 54 ladies advanced to the finals auditions where they will encounter the 32 returning veterans from the 2012 DCC squad for the opportunity to go to DCC Training Camp.

For the first time ever, the Dallas Cowboys are inviting fans to take an active role in the selection of the finalist for the 2013 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad. Fans can  cast their vote for their favorite rookie candidate and the entrant with the most votes will automatically advance to join the other finalists in the squad's 2013 training camp.

"We are always looking for new opportunities to engage our fans in innovative and creative ways," said Charlotte Anderson, President of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. "The cheerleaders enjoy a worldwide following, and through Twitter, Facebook and dallascowboys.com, those fans are able to follow the squad's exciting activities year-round.  Through online voting those fans now have a voice in helping select the group that will compete to fulfill their dream of becoming a member of the 2013 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders."

Fans can now go to dallascowboys.com/dccvote to see photos and video of the rookie participants selected to advance to the final auditions on May 18. When visiting the page, click on the picture of the candidate to see their bio and video. Each fan can vote for up to ten candidates by dragging their picture down to the numbers and clicking 'Vote Now.' After voting, fans can share their votes on social media via the (hashtag) #DCCvote.

The final training camp candidates will be announced at the conclusion of the auditions on May 18, and will report to training camp May 29 for 12 weeks of rehearsals and training in hopes of performing at the Dallas Cowboys first home Pre Season Game on Saturday August 24.
